In our political discourse we use this term "human rights"" are the time. We will assume, therefore, that there is a shared concept that we use the term to signify. We would like to be able to give an accurate description of this concept or, if you like, an accurate definition of it. A definition of hr has both theoretical and practical interest: It is interesting theoretically b/c it should give us a deeper understanding of the nature of hr. It is of practical interest b/c it should help us to determine whether something is or is not a hr; example, whether there is hr to employment insurance, or to economic development, or to holidays with pay . Paradigm examples of hr: (paradigm meaning: typical example of something, a pattern of something) We will assume that the udhr enumerates many of the most important hr. These paradigm examples give us a good intuitive understanding of what hr are.
