These are 2nd generation rights, so they are not first generation rights. The best way to understand them is to go through articles of universal declaration of human rights; Article 22: everyone as a member of society has a right to social security this article makes dignity a key concept. Also free development of his personality; idea as people as ends in themselves. Article 23: more substantive, many rights about work. Right to work, free choice of employment (works against slavery). Just and favorable conditions of work, (health and safety monitoring) protection against unemployment.
