Document Summary
The triad: research question (rq) --> (rd) --> (ra) Corporatism: institutionalized patterns of linkage between social interests (predominantly labour and capital) and the state, focusing especially on the legit role of social interests in influencing policy. ie. stakeholder consultations that involve unions etc. Types of corporatism: social corporatism: assumed antagonism between participants inclusive understanding of labour market solidarity in wider society social democratic regimes ie. sweden. Pluralism: groups within society form to influence government through a process of competition, but no formal linkages exist. This allows more people to engage, however recommendations do not have to be followed. Operationalizing variables seeks to demonstrate a relationship of causality ie x(independent variables) causes y (dependent variable) Dependent variable (y): is the factor in the analysis that is to be explained. Independent variable (x): explanatory factor that can account for the variation of the dependent variable across different cases.
