Canada is not just simply different regions, they are different political economies. Different make up of economic activities, differnet blends of poverty and wealth and different social programs to deal with this. Politics of northern saskatchewan are different from toronto. It is not from the ground up, it may be from above. When one doesn"t do well, others are doing better. They give us flexibility diversity and education is a great thing to be in depleated economy. More people take courses when unemployed, more money perreault makes. Between governments is when democracy is alive therefore regionalism is the factor that contributed the most to making canada a democracy. Led to the most powerful opposition, great debates. In other words, it might be good for democracy. Canadas diversity or regionalism gives canadians different ways to live. If you have travelled across the country, one knows its different from toronto then in that of vancouver.
