During that time there was a debate about the effects of television, whether violence on television would make children aggressive. The other side argued that seeing violence is cathartic, relieving the person from pent up aggression. During the test, children observe the model interacting with toys in three different conditions: control, playing with the bo-bo doll, but not aggressive. Non-aggressive, just playing with the toys except bo-bo doll. Then the children are let into the room, one at a time, to see how they interact. The key observation is watching aggressive acts leads to aggressive acts. This likelihood has a (cid:862)(cid:373)ai(cid:374) effe(cid:272)t(cid:863) f(cid:396)o(cid:373) the pa(cid:396)ti(cid:272)ipa(cid:374)t"s ge(cid:374)de(cid:396) there was a higher correlation when the model was male, as well as a higher correlation from male participants.
