Sensations our senses organs (eyes,ears, tongue, skin, and nose) receives energy from the environment (essence-> detection). Perception is an elementary that requires resources, computation capacities. Our neural networks learns to recognize and classify patterns. (essence-> construction) It hard to separate them because they both work simultaneously. Psychophysics: a relationship between physical stimulus and mental phenomenon. Transduction: sensory information is turn into neural interpretation. Threshold: minimum energy that the senses has to experiences interpretation. Not able to detect 1miligram of sugar into the water. (science explains that we cannot see the smallest particles as they are about to dissolve)there are some animals such breaded dogs that see blood particles.
