Hippocrates: the first physician, credited with the idea of personality. He also developed the theory of humorism , where he said the body was composed of 4 fluids: blood, yellow bile, black bile, and phlegm, and psychological disorders are caused by an imbalance of these four fluids. Hippocrates was also the first person to discover that the left brain controls the right side of the body, and the same is correct in reverse.
