There is no specific test which determines abnormality. They instead use a set of symptoms or behaviours to determine if someone is acting abnormally. Dsm contains all the mental disorders and their symptoms. Isd is same thing used in other parts of the world. Someone that always expects the worst of a situation. They affect emotions, cognition, behaviour and physical health. Anxiety is not caused by specific event (abuse, trauma etc) Person finds it difficult to control their worry level. This disease has a gradual onset, so it is difficult to point out when it began. They know their fears are irrational but they cannot control it. Panic attacks are caused by a specific environment, object, situation, animal etc Re-experiencing the traumatic event over and over again. The disease sometimes does not surface until months or years after the traumatic event. Combination of obsessive thoughts (germs are all over my hands) combined with compulsive behaviour (constantly washing hands).
