Blastocyst: fertilized egg 4 days after conception, which consists of about 100 cells & resembles hollow ball. Germ disc: small cluster of cells near centre of zygote that develops into baby. Placenta: structure through which nutrients & wastes exchanged b/w mother & developing child.
