Anova tries to figure the explanation between variation between participants. Omnibus null hypothesis is that nothing has an effect on anything. If the omnibus is significant then something has an effect but we don"t know what. In assignment 5 go to analyze and general linear model/univariate to complete omnibus. The outputs in spss will show the main effect of a, b and interaction. Spss will also give a wrong ss total. Next step after omnibus is to look at test of interaction.
