Bethlehem was the place jesus was born in. The jewish societies were fighting for power and wanted to negotiate with the romans. Remaining were the poor jews who were burdened with roman taxes. Jesus mission starts when he was immersed into river jordan by john the baptist. He was considered to be a rebel preacher. Romans thought iof him as a rebel raiser, they thought. Jesus was a part of the apocalyptic movement. There were a very few people among the jews who supported jesus but his followers accepted him as the promised messiah. After his death, when his teachings spread to other areas he was known as the christ (greek word for messiah) The sadducees, a group of jews were against the whole concept of resurrection. Jesus on a situation where a woman married 7 times, each time her husband dies she takes a new one.
