Some projects begin with a sociology theory to test. Many theories are generated from the field. Collect and analyze data then develop a theory. Composed of abstract, general ideas that help organize and make sense of the social world. Sociology draws on the rich history and tradition of theorizing. People come up with theories based on their life experiences. Their experiences are the data they are theorizing. He wasn"t a sociologist because the term wasn"t coined yet. Celebrated as being one of the greatest philosophers of the middle age. Was interested in distinction between nomadic and sedentary cultures.
