Many of us work to have meaning, not only for financial reasons. Satisfactory jobs are harder to find for people. Began when people were living in rural areas working on the land. People began to leave home and work in the city. Go from manual labour to labour done by technological advances. Vast majority of people working part time are looking for full time that is not available. Problem begins when part time work replaces full time work. Could be great for some people who want to make a bit of money sharing knowledge but could also be unsustainable for some people to live off. These statistics only take into account people who are actively looking for work. People are working more hours are week but wages are not going up at same rate. People have less time for leisure and family. Ability for people to have balance between work and leisure. Government does not subsidise enough for child daycare.
