Families are changing greatly in the past decades. Gender roles have a large impact on family. The traditional definition is very narrow and excludes many people. Increasingly we are trying to broaden the family definition. This model is actually a big anomaly, which is contrary to what most people believe. Women are working and getting educating at much higher rate. Highest increase of children under four since baby boom. This is because their just happens to be more women in child bearing years. Sexual regulation: controls sexual promiscuity, delay sexual activity. Family can bestow financially and through opportunity a better future for their members. Love needs to be the reason for marriage. Very important relationship which included the participants families. These two have become more and more interconnected. Love is now the most important factor or reason to get married. People are more likely someone who is very similar to them (race, religion, ethnicity, class etc)
