In criminal law, the proof is beyond a reasonable doubt. It is a very serious topic to be studying: you have to be able to address issues head-on. If it was all theory, it would be very easy. Not everything in the criminal justice system is theory: theory is taught because we need to know about it, but it is not necessarily applied in the real world.
