Randomized experiments required subject to be separated into experimental and control group the experimental group is independent variable. 1. cause and effect relationship two variables, a correlation must be visible and that means correlation btw two variable more frequent than expected. 3. any change in dependant variable must not have been due to an extraneous variable that is outside hypothesis. If you want to conduct research on deviant population: Have to have good communication skills to establish relationships. Acquisition of info and need to be able to collect data.
