Physical assault on citizen is necessary if force used more than 2 ways. 1st-if popo physi(cid:272)ally assaulted (cid:374)igga (cid:271)ut did(cid:374)"t (cid:373)ake arrest, proper use i(cid:374)volves arrest. 2nd if citizen being arrested did not by word or dead resist the policeman force shud only be used if necessary to make the arrest. 3rd- if policeman even tho there was resistance to arrest cud have restrained the citizen in other ways. 4thi if large number of popo present and cud have assisted in subduing the citizen in the station in the lock up an interrogation room. 5th- if offender was handcuffed and made no attempt to flee or offer violent resistance.
