People who are passionate about a cause and who use their political/economic or educational influence to raise awareness about an issue and who work towards making changes in laws. Crime can be presented in such a way as to sensualize the characters and events involved to satisfy the public interest. Often the media distorts the truth (using a story variant that will sell the most newspapers: the media portrays young people as violent and out of control. The csi effect: unrealistic expectations of crime, the courts, law enforcement ect. Due to shows like csi and criminal minds. Waging war on crime is the best way to fight crime. You can"t have war with crime you"re just claiming you have enemies among you. It is the making, breaking and reaction of breaking of the law: making the law focuses on the sociology of crime, how laws are passed and made.
