Health care: new initiatives have focused on bringing immigrants & refugees into rural & Northern communities: access to basic needs such as health can represent significant barriers both culturally & linguistically, it is true that indigenous citizens receive health benefits what god are those benefits if they aren"t accessible, ex. Youth in rural community wishing to seek rehabilitative treatment for addiction may have to travel from their home community to vancouver: bureaucracy of health care system for indigenous communities also difficult to navigate.
