Different schools have different ways of addressing these issues that hinge upon inequality, discrimination and oppression with attention to social structures and society. It involves working with individuals, communities, groups and people with shared history of their marginalization by economic, social and political structures that could result in internalized feelings of shame, low self-esteem, frustration and anger.
