Efforts made to ensure the inclusion of perspectives of racial/ethnic groups on the design, conduct and analysis? (pre-test with desired population, focus groups) Race/ethnicity of the research team? (data collectors, coders, investigators, consultants) A worldview; how we filter the world. Socially defined; manifested in language/behaviors and how we interact with people. Passed from generations; important to pass down when not living in culture society. Provides a framework where people process info, think, behave and communicate. Micro level (values, beliefs, communication styles & behaviors) Macro level (organizations, institutions/communities and manifested in mandates, policies and practices.
