Everyone is born with different amounts of money in their bank account. Everyone can afford something at a different level. Iff (page 39) aim to foster understanding of the many circumstances (conditional) that combine with discriminatory social practices (social) to produce and sustain inequality and exclusion . Conditional barriers: big societal structures that determine how someone will live. Example: maria a domestic worker from the philippines in ontario. Conditional: legal rights as a non citizen, may not speak english, living in rural community and access to resources. How much age will intersect with many other perceptions is very little noticed. Youth is typically perceived a certain way. White privilege blinds/ creates bias from the whole picture. People were seen as objects and sold at a certain price. Wards of the king-taken away from the kind. People paid to stare and watch them.
