Document Summary

The murder of emmett till and trial or the perpetrators who committed the heinous acts raised a lot of questions about how the black people were treated and the level of racism that existed back then. These injustices were even experienced in court cases whereby the black people were not given the same treatment in court. Civil rights organizations disagreed with all the aspects of how the case of emmett till was conducted. First and foremost, there were different views on how and the reason why the emmett till was murdered. For many people in the northern states, they felt that. Till did not deserve this kind of brutal murder (harold & deluca, 2005). Furthermore, the trial itself showed the injustices that black people faced. First of all, the allocated court for the case was small and segregated. This was not legal ad would not have taken place anywhere in the north for that matter.
