Employer has an employee that"s been there for 26 months (more than 2 yrs) High ranked job, therefore could ask for longer notice. Won 16 weeks" salary instead of 2 weeks. The carrying on by one or more persons of an organized economic activity, whether or not it is commercial in nature consisting of producing, administering or alienating property or providing a service, constitutes the carrying on of an enterprise. Objective of business ownership: earning a profit -> organized and continuing activity for the purpose of earning a profit. Therefore, selling your house for a profit is not a business. No legal detachment of the owner from the business.
