50% of women in america are size 12 and up. Plus size models start at size 8 or 10. Eating disorders: medical stats predict that 40% of the population has some form of eating disorder, eating disorder= not natural/normal relationship with food, north americans on average being dieting at 10. Menstrual suppression: birth control, 10 years ago, started promoting birth control to pre-teens that stops period, girls would go on it after their first period and would only go off of it when they wanted to have children. In the past women would have about 90-100 times in their lifetime: start menstruating at an older age, pregnant more. In the present women have about 450-1000 periods in their lifetime. Brazil/ latin cultures: prefer pear shaped bodies, and a belly, men fighting north american fashion industry because their women are starting to morph to the north american ideal body.
