-Factors of environment that affect the body
-Temperature
-Solar radiation
-Slow down rate at which body cools
-Energy from the sun is striking the ground and the body, and this is being
absorbed by the surfaces, like the body
-Reflective radiation, is energy that is unchanged and does nothing when it
reflects back, the rest of the energy is absorbed by the surface and causes it to
heat up
-Body will loose energy as it heats up, the heat will be lost in 3 ways
-1) Emitted heat
-2) Sensible heat
-you can sense it and feel it
-3) Latent heat
-heat that is involved with evaporation
-Clothing serves as a layer of protection and insulation
-Serve as a layer of protection, and insulation
-Shade
-Ex. forested environment
-This will moderate the environment, less cool at night and less warm during the
day
-Humidity
-A moisture film on top of the body will attract bug activity, as well as the heat
-All of this comes down to the energy input, and energy output
Crime Scene Environment 1
Radiation and Heat
-The scene environment and the body are one, the environment is pivotal as to what
happens with the body
-What affects cooling?
-Body mass, shape, and presentation
-Type of Clothing
-Location: sun vs shade
-Conditions: clear versus cloudy
-Night vs day
-All meanwhile there will be an increase in the succession of insects from the outside
-What affects or controls this
-Environment will affect and be effected by:

Document Summary
Factors of environment that affect the body. Slow down rate at which body cools. Energy from the sun is striking the ground and the body, and this is being absorbed by the surfaces, like the body. Re ective radiation, is energy that is unchanged and does nothing when it re ects back, the rest of the energy is absorbed by the surface and causes it to heat up. Body will loose energy as it heats up, the heat will be lost in 3 ways. You can sense it and feel it. Clothing serves as a layer of protection and insulation. Serve as a layer of protection, and insulation. This will moderate the environment, less cool at night and less warm during the day. A moisture lm on top of the body will attract bug activity, as well as the heat. All of this comes down to the energy input, and energy output.
