Inter-relationship between anatomy and physiology: inseparable relationship between structure and function in human body, every structure is designed to perform a particular function. A&p are intimately linked: function always reflects structure and what a structure does depends on its specific form (check lecture for example) Integumentary system: composed of skin, sweat and oil glands, hair and nails, protects deep tissues from injuries and synthesizes vitamin d. Skeletal system: composed of bone, cartilage and ligaments, protects and supports body organs, provides framework for muscles, site of blood cell formation.
