Introvert a person predominately concerned with their own thoughts and feelings rather than with external things (shy, reserved person) Those who are more introverted are better at reading emotions. During this entire time, you are thinking. When your amygdala is activated and cortisol is released, you will present an emotional response in the form of fear, flight/flight, etc. The one thing you think of when you hear the word arousal is sex, or a person who is jacked up and ready to fight . There is high arousal and low arousal, as well as a positive or a negative valence attached to it. For this reason, general arousal can become any specific arousal depending on the situation. Your amygdala is involved in both sex and aggression; therefore, people have choking fetishes and enjoy s&m whatever makes your amygdala light up can be linked to sex. Anxiety disorder may occur due to a mislabelling of arousal.
