How and why humans have changed since they first appeared. How and why have modern human populations vary in certain physical features. How and why have past and present societies varied their customary ideas and practices. Anthropology looks at all people different parts of the world and different me periods. Anthropologists have liked at non-western cutlers for many years. The study of western civilizations began in recent years. Anthropologists believe generalizations about humans should apply to many different time periods and many different people. If they do not, we should be skeptical about it. Skeptical nature when evidence is lacking is our best protection against accepting invalid ideas. Anthropologists study many different aspects of human experiences.
