Napoleon and europe: napoleon: born in a noble family, got military education in france and onto an academy. Always fighting, in leadership roles and wanted to become a captain in the french army. Only nobles in the french army and belonging to the oldest/prestigious aristocratic families to have higher elite names which napoleon didn"t have: a young jacobin. Napoleon joined the jacobin club and promoted the revolution: commander of the army of italy (1769): napoleon"s youth and talent became connected with the image of the revolutionary army. The biggest/proudest army at the time was the prussian army. Approached and helped many soldiers injured not to leave them on the battlefield and knew some personally. Signed a peace treaty in italy and very often disobeyed orders and was mostly on his own. Deserted his defeated army by britain in egypt: the consulat (1799): proclaimed himself an emperor in 1804, consolidation of power, leadership style.
