The biggest/proudest army at the time was the prussian army. Approached and helped many soldiers injured not to leave them on the battlefield and knew some personally. Signed a peace treaty in italy and very often disobeyed orders and was mostly on his own. Deserted his defeated army by britain in egypt: the consulat (1799): proclaimed himself an emperor in 1804, consolidation of power, leadership style.
