20 years later in 1475, the english conceded everything but calais to the french in a treaty. The social fabric of the latin christian world had been torn apart by a century of war. The war of the roses raged between 1455 to 1485. A later romantic version of civil strife between york and lancaster. Seized power from richard ii"s plantagenets in 1399. Henry iv was thought as an usurper by many. He never became the king his father was: richard of york. Richard, the duke of york began to amass forces.
