Being versus being: particular entities (being) versus being itself (time) Dasein: that being, that entity that has its own being: an entity that is related to being (ontology). He aims to move away from talking about subject and object. The kind of beings that humans are that are concerned with what they are to be. Similarily, existentiall is related to beings; existential to being. Husserl"s was heidegger"s teacher: heidegger will draw on different points, esp. in being and. Watch for dates of secondary literature: many accounts prior to 1970 often reflect the incomplete works of heidegger. Once more work is released post 70"s the accounts become more accurate. Idedetic analysis: grasping the invariability in which things can present themselves (what remains constant through all its presentations, versus what is contingent characteristics (ie color)) The things themselves: a return to the thing intended towards.
