Classical condiioning certain innate behaviours come to be produced in new situaions. Have litle control over these behaviours but can teach it to produce you to use behaviour to respond to situaion you didn"t beofore. Operant condiioning strengthening or weakening of a behaviour as a result of its consequences. Goal directed, voluntary behaviours, some control over them can make decisions on whether or not to engage in behaviour based on the consequences that come along with them. Bell: food (italicize target behaviour or behaviour you are waning to change or teach, on exam or when you print it you can underline it) bell: food. Colon= the events occur in sequence (bell, then food) Arrow= one follows the other but the the irst one causes the second one. Bell is presented just before the good, the food in turn caused the dog to salivate. Then the presentaion of the bell itself now causes the dog to salivate.
