Crime is studied by criminologists (who, when, how often) Criminal law is part of public law. Intended to apply equally to all in practice is not always neutral. Media : violent crime out of control. Reality : most crimes are property crimes, crimes have declined since 1991. Conventional : what most people think as crime. White collar crime (misappropriation of financial resources)
