The mystic who made the mistake of saying that he was god and for that he was executed. She noted that in the quran people love god out of either fear of death or desire for eternal love. She taught people to think towards their ultimate goal and to worship god for his own sake. A universal thinker who recognized that allah is supremely transcendent and therefore inapproachable or definable by the human mind. Any human path, in his mind, to god has equally fair insight into the divine mind (as in all religions are equal). He encouraged the use of music, artwork and poetry a rarity in the textbook monotheisms. Sharia literally means the way to the watering hole. This has significance for desert dwelling people because water is the source of life. Thus, the way to the watering hole has a religious significance because religion deals with life and death.
