Interpretation - the "why" using the theory and knowledge you have to try and unpack and understand the situation. Evaluation - in the sense of judgement (almost never useful in ccm) Culture - the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one human group from another. How are decisions made/how do the practices develop. Is adaptive, though relatively enduring at a macro level. Transmitted through generations = is learned, not innate. Develops and operates in social groups, from a workgroup to a nation. Understanding culture - an implicit agreement among a group of people concerning what things mean; shared meanings among a group of people. Passed on from older to younger members of the group or society. Shares behavior (cultural scripts) - e. g. morals, laws, customs. Structures a person"s perception of the world = your cultural lens. Stores, heroes, symbols, ceremonies, rites of passage, language, proverbs, principles.
