Role of parties and two trial systems: difference in the role of parties in examining the witnesses and organizing witness, judge calls all the witnesses. Judge is in charge with the investigation and therefore its their job to do so. Represented throughout the investigation and at the trial through their lawyer itself: no separate sentencing stage verdict and sentencing goes together. Judges can sort through the information therefore all information is included. Parties don"t try to raise the potential of reasonable doubt. The attempt is to convince the judge of x , not raise the potential of. In adversarial: they try to avoid character information as it would be prejudicial to the case (because the jury is not trained in legal proceedings) No character of the accused is put to trial: the decision means there is no reasonable doubt. The version of the facts that has been presented is the truth.
