Women because of tie to reproductive biology- tied to that. Talk about women about the home and irrational for political realm because of biology. How we understood men as gendered subjects and norms of masculinity. Violence and domestic violence- we haven"t seen it as a male problem. Hyper masculine is being rewarded in politics and this hasn"t shifted to understand norms regarding women"s behaviour and women victimization. Re-framing debates about gender issues away from women and questioning the behaviour of men. The study of men as men is new. A shift away from psychoanalysis after to male sex role. And then emergence to new social science and rise of masculinity studies and norms of masculinity. The study of men has been shaped by women action. Link between how women have acted and the ways we study men and masculinity. We hear boys will be boys something natural about the way boys and men behave.
