PSYC 406 Lecture Notes - Lecture 14: Clinical Psychology
Document Summary
Because of item characteristic curves, it is good to get the first few questions correct so that you get into a good spot for the rest of the questions. Some things are responsive to studying and others are not. The math section is the most responsive discussion because you have to remember all the stuff you ever learned in math. The writing scale is also pretty responsive because you need to know how to write a good essay and how to argue for a post. The vocabulary scale does not require much studying because it basically asks what your vocabulary is. That is what you need to study the most. This is something that you acquire over your lifetime you cannot learn thousands of new words when you prepare for a test. It is therefore more important to study for math and to review skills for writing good essays and arguing points logically.
