Slightly less of a nobility, the bureaucratic nobility: he has a strong presence in bourdeau. He had local loyalties to areas that had its own parliament, its own self-government. This mattered to him quite a lot: he knows about it and is deeply interested in it. In his early years in bourdeau, there are a couple things to notice.
