Beginning in july and october, hurricanes, starting in the. Atlantic ocean, sometimes hit (castigan) the shores of these islands. In all the antilles, the vegetation is lush (exuberante). The climate is particularly appropriate for the cultivation of sugar cane, coffee and tobacco, important products in the three islands.
