Non- for profit, founded in 2003 by 2 music therapists who recognized the need to be active in music in order to address issues in the community. Aims to provide music therapy to previously disadvantaged communities in cape town. Employs 4 mts, 4 community musicians, 5 projects. Music for life project (mfl) after school music activities outside of mt (reach more kids) 2007. Broader aim keep kids off the streets providing a socially healthy alternative open to all. Importance of collaboration: music therapists are white, don"t share the same culture, collaborating with musicians who are from the same culture as the kids is really important, musicians they collaborated with had an understanding of the township.
