The patient on the piano is freely playing (self-expression to explore boundaries, manage and recognize boundaries) therapist to act as a life line and the patient to run safely and explore. Not an example of aesthetic model; no focus on the beauty on the music. When one is improvising one needs to be aware of boundaries, but they can still be free. Self-identified himself as this sea urchin and warming through this vocalizing state. All the different papers we read when they talk about improvising, the possibilities are beyond our capacity to emotion. Could be seen as mirroring (same thing at same time) and being with them.
