Everyone had to dress as a maenad and let go and release emotions (this was hard for men to do) He never gets drunk and engages in partying. That dionysus was just from an affair with a mortal. Forces women to leave home and live on mountains. Disbelief within the family: aunts and pentheus of his divinity. Dionysus turns the women into maenads, will force worship. Dionysus in costume as a priest of himself.
