Last week talking about democracy and talked about past and current democracy. Proved our current indirect democracy is less participative than it could be. Liberal and democracy are not the same thing. Liberalism is a different model of how the state should be run and power be used than democracy. Democratic system where power lies in the mass. Liberalism comes from liber (free), system focused on idea and notion of freedom and how to expand freedom, giving individual maximum amount of freedom how they see t, individual sphere to live their way. Liberalism very in uential political theory, most in uential political theory in last 300 years. Liberal party of canada, does not 100% line itself with liberalism, almost all parties in canada adopt liberal ideas (conservative party, liberal party, ndp, etc. ) Liberal ideas exist in many countries, organizations, world governments, they believe in liberal ideas.
