Can engage in social behaviour if it helps both parties you will engage in cooperative behaviour if you know you are getting something out of it as well . Ex. you help your friend study for a test your friend gets smarter, but you also learn by teaching your friend cooperative behaviour. Being part of a group is good for a person because it is good for the genes better chance of passing genes forward. Birds often travel together they do so because they will benefit out of the relationship with other birds: geese search for food in groups.
