This gave way to an important think in scientific research: inquiry: this inquiry based method gave rise from greek philosophers to ask how are things truly learned. Discourse and reflection as tools for developing thinking owe much to socrates and plato: says you have to be a reflective thinker instead of just memorizing things. We see how these differ even in today"s society: ex: college vs. university, college = kinda roman, university = kinda greek.
