Paid and unpaid labour are mutually reinforcing: channeling women towards lower paying jobs and towards domestic labour: women at childbearing age may be more unproductive, some employers may be biased or cautious. Childbearing age woman: the person who makes less, is the one who takes care of the baby. Men earn more than women so they end up having to stay home.
