Argue: self-esteem varies by gender and structural advantage. Females tend to have lower self-esteem than males o. Argue: this is because women in society occupy posiions of structural disadvantage o o. Not about mental health, about structural disadvantage that people face. Transgendered: individuals who depart from normaive roles about being men or women. Deiniion is working deiniion - contested by some. Some transgendered are transsexuals who want to change their gender by changing their appearance including gender reassignment therapy: want to undergo sex change - hormonally, physically. About gender idenity - not about sexual orientaion.
