Term paper due march 10 by 11:59pm (30%) Only multiple choice / true & false questions (120 q"s) Not cumulative (only from lecture 6 onwards) Part 1: investigate the extent of a canadian social issue/problem. Pick from the posted list or get additional topics approved by prof. Part 2 and 3: describe and evaluate a canadian social response (policy, law, social campaign) that seeks to address your chosen issue. Your thesis/position will be informed by the research you do in part 1-3. Construct an argument to determine if the social response is addressing the issue. Pick whether the social response / policy is good or bad. Discuss who is most likely to have the problem, whether it has increased or decreased. 1 additional source (does not need to be academic) Can be a policy report, something from statistics canada etc.
